Author Guidelines
IAABG 2027 Global Congress
Abstract and Article Submission Guidelines
1. Submission Deadline
All abstracts and articles must be submitted through the Congress website by April 18, 2027, at 23:59 (CET).
Authors who intend to attend the Congress and present their work should submit an abstract or a full article. If an abstract is accepted for oral or poster presentation, the author must register for the Congress. IAABG reserves the right to remove from publication any abstract whose author does not register within two weeks of receiving the acceptance letter.
2. Online Submission System
The online submission system will guide you step by step through the process. To access the abstract form, you will need to create a login name and password of your own choosing. If you have used the system before, you may enter your previously stored details. You are strongly advised to record your login name and password for future reference.
You may access and edit your abstract as many times as necessary before final submission. Once your abstract is finalised, you must press the SUBMIT button. A confirmation of submission will be sent to you by email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact the Congress organisers.
3. Review, Selection and Publication
An international panel of experts will review all submitted abstracts. Abstracts and articles may be selected for oral presentation or poster presentation, or may be rejected.
Rejection criteria include:
-
The content is not relevant to the Congress topics, such as hematology, transfusion medicine, or the transfusion sciences.
-
No new or relevant work will be presented (viewed in the context of the human development index of the country).
-
The data do not support the conclusions.
-
The abstract is not in the format set out in these guidelines.
-
The abstract is not in English with an acceptable level of language. Chinese is acceptable.
-
The abstract includes confidential patient data.
-
The work has been published in a PubMed-listed journal or presented at another international meeting (unless new data or information is included).
-
The abstract contains commercial bias or advertising.
* If the abstract involves commercial products, it must be objective, based on scientific methods, and free of commercial bias for or against any products. Generic names should be used whenever possible, and trade names must not be included in the abstract title. The intent is to avoid abstracts submitted for promotional purposes.
** Abstracts from commercial companies must be presented by an individual who holds no financial or other personal conflict of interest with the presented work.
Notification of acceptance:
-
The submitting author will receive confirmation of acceptance for oral presentation, poster presentation, or a notice of rejection by May 1, 2027. Confirmations will be sent one by one, first in first out, according to submission date.
-
If your abstract is accepted, further information regarding the mode of presentation will be sent to you.
-
If your abstract is accepted, the presenting author must register by May 8, 2027. If the presenting author is unable to attend but a co-author will present instead, please contact the Congress organisers.
Every effort will be made to publish the abstract exactly as submitted. As abstracts will be typeset for electronic distribution and publication, they may be copy-edited by IAABG staff as needed to conform to publication style.
All accepted abstracts for which the author has registered by the deadline will be included in an abstract book published by the Journal of Blood and Biotherapy (online only). The abstract book will also be made available on the IAABG Congress website approximately one week before the start of the meeting.
4. Instructions for Submission
4.1 General Principles
You will need to complete the following:
-
Submitting author information: Name and complete address, including a correct email address, of the submitting author to whom correspondence will be sent.
-
Abstract title: The title (including spaces) should not exceed 200 characters. Do not type a full stop (.) at the end of the title. The abstract title must not include product trade names.
-
Category: Select one topic from the list provided. Your abstract should be related to the selected topic.
-
Co-author registration: Please fill in the surnames, initials, institute, city, country, and email address of all co-authors. Do not include the main author as a co-author.
4.2 Abstract and article Formatting
-
Graphics, figures, and pictures are allowed.
-
Tables: If you wish to include a table, please do not copy and paste it from a Word file. Create the table using the table tools available in each section of the abstract submission website.
-
Line feeds: Do not use HTML codes or "end of lines," as the text will wrap automatically.
-
Lists: Where an itemised list is used, please use bullet points, numbers (1, 2, 3), or letters (a, b, c).
-
Browser font preference: Before inserting or submitting your abstract, select Unicode as the preferred font. If Unicode is not available, please select Western.
-
Keyboard language setting: The keyboard configuration of computers in non-Western countries can cause problems with the printing of the proceedings. To avoid these problems, please change the language setting of your computer to English.
4.3 Abstract Structure and Content
-
The abstract text should be no more than 5,000 characters (including tables). A full article is not limited in length.
-
The abstract must be in English. An article in Chinese is acceptable.
-
The following format must be followed:
a. Background
b. Aims
c. Methods
d. Results
e. Summary / Conclusions
-
Information or concepts expressed must be novel, ideally at an international level.
-
The abstract must include results or outcomes of the work. A plan of work without evidence of results does not usually constitute an adequate abstract.
4.4 Keywords
Approximately 6 keywords maximum.
4.5 References
Including references and adding a reference list at the end of the abstract is ok. The format is as follows:
Jin S, Song L, Xu Q, et al. Integrative transcriptomic and clinical cohort analysis identifies immunometabolic prognostic signatures in multiple myeloma. J. Blood Biother. 2026;1(1):1. doi:10.46701/jbbt260502
4.6 Acknowledgements
If the work is supported with funding or materials provided by an external or commercial entity, please note this in the Acknowledgements section.
4.7 Supplementary Materials
Supplementary materials are allowed.
5. Contact
If you have any questions regarding abstract submission, please contact the Congress organizers through the official Congress website or email abstract@jofbbt.com.
